Based on the 60 years old main building structure, we have expanded 5 rooms with bathrooms in 2014, and renovated other old part in 2019. Now all the facilities are practical and in good condition. The building design is planned based on what traveler needs. We’ve been running accommodation since 2004 and put all of the ideas to create Guesthouse Soi.
Our service keep developing as well. Our everyday lives are deeply involved with the guests, we keep our eyes on and make sure everything is alright.
Paid Service
The scent of freshly brewed coffee wafts in the morning sunshine in the dining area. We provide Japanese Traditional and Western style breakfast according to your needs.
The handy bicycle rental service available as well, Kyoto city is suitable to discover by bicycle.
We probably have one of the biggest laundry area among guesthouses in the town. You can have a view of a red tower of the Kiyomizu Temple from the laundry terrace.
Free Service
Luggage Storage; please give us a notice if you would like to come to drop off your luggage before the checking in. Our reception is sometimes closed during the daytime.
Amenities and Toiletries; we provide towels and sandals for each guest. Disposable toothbrush are available in the rooms with private bathroom.
Self service drinking counter; for you to have a cup of tea to relax…
Guest Kitchen; if you are tired of eating outside, or if you can not find various suitable food for you to eat in the restaurant, you can cook by your self at home! (I mean at guesthouse…)
Our Garden
The garden with small pond, trees and flowers is creating the calm and peaceful atmosphere. We have several trees including a big cheery blossom, and different flowers bloom through the summer to the winter. The maple leaves turns red in autumn and a stone lantern covered by snow in winter. It is a great treat to have such seasonal scenery, and good to have some tea at the seating area to make travel plan for the day, or to have a rest after the busy sight-seeing walk.
Kids Friendly Facilities
We are aiming children have a safe and enjoyable stay and parents are satisfied with the thoughtful facilities at every corner of our guesthouse, such as playing corner, step stools and low height sinks. We used to travel a lot since our children were very small, so we understand how hard and how nice to take children all over the world!
